Care at Our Main Clinic and Community Outreach Locations
Southwest Bridge Health provides care at our main clinic site and through community outreach locations in Benton Harbor. Clinic hours vary by location. The Medication Access Center at the main site has separate hours for medication pickup and refills.

Bridging the Gap to Care for Uninsured Neighbors
Southwest Bridge Health provides free, primary healthcare for uninsured individuals across Southwest Michigan.
Many people in our community fall into the coverage gap — unable to afford insurance, but still needing trusted, local care. Southwest Bridge Health exists to make healthcare simpler, more accessible, and more compassionate by connecting uninsured patients with licensed volunteer clinicians and community partners who are ready to help.

Primary Care Visits
Free visits with licensed volunteer clinicians for uninsured children and adults in Southwest Michigan. Get help with everyday health concerns, screenings, and follow-up care.
Chronic Condition Support
Ongoing support for common conditions like diabetes, high blood pressure, asthma, and other health needs that require regular care and attention.
Medication & Benefits Help
Help finding low-cost medication options and applying for programs like Medicaid, Healthy Michigan Plan, SNAP, and WIC when eligible.

Southwest Bridge Health provides free care for uninsured neighbors in Southwest Michigan. Here are the basic things to know before becoming a patient.
You do not have health insurance
Our clinic is for uninsured patients only. We are not able to see patients with any insurance, including Medicare, Medicaid, or high-deductible plans.
You live in Southwest Michigan
Care is focused on children and adults in Southwest Michigan communities who need simple, local access to primary healthcare. We welcome all neighbors and do not ask immigration status questions.
You can bring basic information
Please bring income information and a photo ID if available. A medication list or medical records can also be helpful, but they are not required.
Volunteer
Be the Bridge for a Neighbor in Need
Volunteers make free care possible. Whether you are a clinician, interpreter, student, or community member, your time and skills can help uninsured neighbors access compassionate healthcare close to home.
Clinical Volunteers
Physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, pharmacists, and other licensed professionals help provide direct patient care for uninsured neighbors.
Non-Clinical Volunteers
Interpreters, administrative helpers, outreach volunteers, and community members support patients and clinic operations in practical, meaningful ways.
Special Projects
Help with data entry, events, fundraising, communications, logistics, and other behind-the-scenes work that keeps the clinic moving.
